SLJ Mission Statement

In creating Soul Line Journal I am attempting to provide a means for those who are passionate about enjoying and preserving the world’s natural spaces to share the writing and art born through and inspired by experiences outside. If successful, each issue of Soul Line will be filled with stories of adventures from around the globe, both big and small from a wide range of sports. These stories will be told through photographs, drawings, paintings, writing, fiction or non, and any other type of printable media. Soul Line will showcase work that demonstrates the soul and passion that goes into the activities we all love. My intents regarding the publication can best be summed up with the following goals: • To provide entertainment and inspiration to those who love to be outside. • To maintain a simple reader run format. (Reader submissions will shape each issue). • To uphold a commitment to the environment through distrobution methods as well as stories and information printed. • To help promote the talents of emerging outdoor writers and artists. I believe outdoor writing in all of its formats to be an important tool in the preservation of wild lands all over the world as well as great entertainment and a source of inspiration for future adventures. Soul Line Journal will reflect these sentiments and above all will demonstrate a passion for wild places.
